Keystroke "Find"

Is there any keystroke combination that will trigger a find? Or, is there anyway to "hook" into Optigold with a VB application and trigger a "Find"?

You can't do it from within Optigold, but there isn't a reason you couldn't make one by hooking into it with ActiveX or something.

OK...Is there some information I'll need regarding names of controls, etc, or do you have any suggestions? I was hoping to just use something simple like "SendKeys", but doesn't look like that's going to work...

Sorry, I don't have any idea. I could tell you how to do it on a Mac, but that's not helpful.

It looks like I can tie to a "Script" within Filemaker, but I need to know the name of the script. Does the "Find" function button fire a script, and if so, do you have the name of that script?

I was just going to post that I'd found that in the Data Model and was going to ask if that was it.

Thanks! That should do it for me!

Ok...I've got some of the ActiveX stuff working now, and I think it will do the trick. Is there a way I can pass specific values to the "Enter Find Mode" script so that I can enter, say the login that I want to "find", without using "SendKeys"? Like, can I pass variables to the script, like you would a VBScript or even a batch file?

No, I don't think you can with FileMaker's ActiveX.
