I'll do my best to explain this Imagine you are a kitchen fitter, and you want to rank your site well in Google. You've done all your hard work and got to #2 for kitchen fitter. But then beyond that you want: kitchen fitter london kitchen fitter manchester kitchen fitter birmingham etc My question is, does Google quite literally do this: kitchen fitter | london Does Google say? - How doI rank the site for kitchen fitter? - What do I rank the site for London? I've collected some evidence and findings that optimising seperately, each for London and Kitchen Fitter works. I.e. having different pages / areas of your site that work for these words seperately. What's your take on how it's done? BTW, I couldn't put a shelf up, so I'm certainly not a kitchen fitter
You should create sub pages for the different keywords you would like to rank well for and optimize them separately.
1. Changes Title, Description and Keywords on your Meta tag. 2. Submit on Google Webmaster tools, they will automaticaly knowing your pages from London if you submit it as London stuff. Hope it yill help you out.
Deep link to new pages about those service in the geo locations. SEO these pages with the keyphrase location you are targeting. Job done
You optimise website for phases, now, a phrase "kitchen fitter in london", "kitchen fitters london", "london kitchen fitter" will most likely return different results, you just have to know which one drives most traffic (usually the one with biggest competition) and start optimising your website for this particular phrase.
