Theres something wrong with my desktop keyboard. When I press for example the "D" key it outputs 'd[ . If I press 'backspace' it outputs *U-t-*U All the outputs are messed up, and outlook express keeps on opening when I didn't click it. (I don't even use Outlook Express). Earlier today I spilled a tiny bit of water on the keys, and it was fine the whole day. I don't mean to sound numb - but that cant be the reason for this? Tried to restart, update drivers, unistalled the keyboard in device manager etc. Im doing a virus scan now, because for some reason I just feel its something a bit more "evil" going on inside. Any advice.
The water might have corrupted the very sensitive connections that are usually on keyboards. Or you could have accidentally changed your keyboard into a different format which might explain why extra characters are poping up and keys are randomly linking... What kind of keyboard is it...?
Ben-AceofTech. - its a Logitech Cordless Internet Pro. StaSen. - great idea, will be giving it a try.
Just tested it out on my laptop and it seems like the Keyboard is crazy. Looks like that tiny bit of water went a long way. Dam this is such a pain, all my work is done on my desktop. Looks like im gona have to ebay a new keyboard. Anyway cheers the help guys much appreciated.
Yeah, Logitechs are nice keyboard but if you ever take one apart you'd be surprised how fragile it looks. Hate to burst your bubble, but that little bit of water probably just totaled your keyboard. Contact the place you bought it from, maybe you still have warranty, or maybe Logitech will replace it for free or a low cost if you explain what happened...
