they are important in search engines for sure, good bit of news there.

I've noticed that having your keyword in the domain helps give you better targetd adsense ads as well.

conversley, I've noticed that having the wrong keywords in your domain gives you poorly targeted ads. I have a site I had used for my brother-in-law's business in a certain city. After he moved and closed the business, I kept the domain because it was getting some traffic. I changed the content to get a wider audience, but because the domain has a keyword from his business, most of the ads I get are geard towards that, rather than the new content keywords.

Keywords in domain names do give a nice boost to search engine rankings. They're only a piece of the puzzle, though.

I noticed this too.But in my opinion having your keyword in the domain name is good but not crucial.Having all your keywords in the domain name could be a + for search engines but a - for your visitors. They should remember your (possible)long domain name..

In my optinion a good domain name is the shortest and easiest to remember by your visitors.

I have been working in this area for a while its only been 1 and 1/2 years online for me!

good help is hard to find in this area" as with the domain theory" I can see the power of email marketing as well" thats how I got this info one day! this was the best piece of spam I got thorough my gmail account" I guess you could say" if you want good spam go get a gmail account"

working with keywords:( teaches the bases of the internet I started with a free web site from a job I turned over a year ago. I know own 47 domains" with online aid" I put together some good domains some I recently bought only months ago" already ranking pr 4";) so believe in the the raw power of a really sticky domain I linked it up with a replicator site I own that is so relevant that Google grabbed it before msn and yahoo" is this theory or just plain good sem" I call it the master of your domain" :D

and heres your 4 month old domain just linked to a very highly targeted sight that has no pr! but the domain has a pr of 4" is this some dam good sem or what" the domain got pr 4 but the replicator site it linked to got 0" well you know what this is a replicator, from corporate" know you say hum mm" how cares about pr " when you see pr 4 you cant deni the bare fact, of strategie :D
