I would like to know how to categorize keywords in to Low competitive, medium competitive and high competitive. What are the limites of competion. i mean, as a example 0- 10000 low competitive 10000-50000 medium competive 50000 above high competitive if some keyword has 5000 competitive pages it is a low competitive key word. if some keyword has 25000 competitive pages it is a medium competitive key word. if some keyword has 75000 competitive pages it is a high competitive key word.
These days almost every keyword has a high competition. I see things this way. Less than one million -> low competitive Less than five millions -> medium More than five -> High
the number of raw results has nothing to do with the difficulty of a keyword, you can easily rank for keywords having 250 millions of results and you can get stuck in the top 30 for a keyword which returns only 500 000 results, to estimate the difficulty of a keyword go to Google and type this: intitle:"your keyword", anything less than 5000 is easy, from 5000 to 50 000 is medium, more than 50 000 is hard, those are just some general estimations, you also need to look at your top competitors and see how tough they are..
Dear DP members, not just the volume of competition count here but also the Monthly search volumes for that keywords
Its not really the best way to measure keyword competition unfortunatley, try looking at the amount of backlinks for the top 10 SERP's and measure Quality vs Qunatity against one from the other, that should give you an idea of what you need to rank with them
This is true also, if you aim to rank better you have to get a full analyse of all the TOP10 websites for your keywords and check what are they doing to get that rank, so you can do better If you need any help on that and especially with backlinking then you're welcome
