http://www.newsnet5.com/news/13866634/detail.html This is one reason for, and problem with, having so many laws. Just about anyone can be found in violation of some law.
And most of the time people do not realize it until it's too late. A lot of sheeple will rush to the voting booth to vote for a smoking ban under the excuse of "common good", but stand there scratching their heads when iPods are banned from sidewalks and transfat is banned from privately owned businesses. The thing people need to understand is, you NEVER give the government an inch. No, what the gov does is it makes a mile appear to be an inch. And before you know it, you've given them the green on things you never imagined. Did you guys know that in certain cities here in Nevada you have to PAY for a permit that gives you PERMISSION to build a dog house in your back yard? Back to the original post... At some point we're going to have tell the government we don't want anymore laws passed until we can sit back, take a breather, and start looking at some of the BS laws on the books now. In fact, I would love to see something pass that would require two repeals for every new one. Sorry for the rant here. If I tend to digress it's because I've had a few. It's Saturday evening...
