Anybody got experience of using Kelly Search in the UK or US? Its the online version of an offline commercial B2B directory. They contacted a client of mine and were directed to me. They are very helpful seem to have a reasonable track record but its very costly - we are talking £1000s!!! It would be difficult to recommend that the client goes ahead without any idea of likely effectivness of placements. And they're not into giving free trial periods.

You can place keyword optimised profiles under any number of business headings and the profile pages seem to have PR2 and provide upto 4 inbound links. However, I assume that a page with 4 backlinks is still only counted as one link for SEO purposes?

I just went to KellySearch and the site seems reputable (with a PR7!) and as you mentioned the profile pages are PR2 (and some have PR1)

If you are only looking for SEO links (backlinks) then I suggest you submit your links to the many directories listed in the Solicitation & Announcements section of DigitalPoint forums.

If you want the link for other reasons like visitors/traffic, then maybe you want to invest in this because their Alexa rank seems quite high! [http://www.alexa.com/data/details/t...ites=&y=r&q=&url=http://www.kellysearch.com/]

    Hope this helps!;)

Cheers - thanks for the advice. Its qualified traffic were looking for although they claim to provide backlinks as well. They claim to be the market leading B2B Directory in the UK.

We use Clicktracks with this client so I hope to get some good date on any Return on Investment. If we go ahead that is.

    Thanks again.

I'd give it a go. I'm listed in KellySearch NL, they're giving me quality visitors all the time. I believe I earned my 1-year advertising costs back in about four months.

I've got multiple listings, the worst I got was about EUR 0.60 per visitor. I think it's not only about the visitors, it is also visibility and credibility...
