If you are not using any directory software to help you manage your submissions what is the best way to keep up with it? Sure you can keep up with it in excel but that still would require a lot of copy and pasting unless you write some code to do v look ups. Just looking for suggestions because semi automatic software seems to be the way to go to keep with data.
I have the auto fill from Firefox and it is major time saver. I need to be able to have a way to keep up the submissions for reports and to know who I have submitted too etc. Any suggestions?
Okay show me a free directory link that Google counted and that you can prove Google counted. (If it shows in Webmaster tools that does not mean its scored...only what Google found). Traffic????? Show me some referral stats of a directory (besides ODP or Yahoo) sending more than 10 visitors a month???? Please show me!!!!!!! (NO fake screenshots boys & girls!)
You can use directory submission software or form fillers to make the job easier How do you know if a link is COUNTED ??? google only tells you that it has found it !!! It does not tell you how much it COUNTS it for !!! OR does it ?
Seen as google doesn't publicly show full backlink count any more there's not a lot we can do. Plus if you read the Google webmaster guidelines they tell you to submit to niche directories and decent general directories like dmoz etc. We're well aware the majority of free directories are spam farms.
Even with robots form, it takes damn much time. I have robots form. It help little to save my time. Else I don't like the repeated same work.
I think its better to just pay someone else to do the submissions. I'll pay to not have to do this boring work.
digiXMAS Directory Submitter helps a lot when submitting to directories. Different colors for known directories, etc. I can't think of anything better right now.
I have tried roboform and FF auto fill addon and at this point I prefer the FF version better because you can create more than 3 custom fields with it. To create more than 3 with roboform you need to buy it. Also when using roboform and a form had 2 names close such as title it wanted to put the title Mr. and not the title of the website I wanted it to used. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to get roboform to work with close form fill names I'm open for suggestions. Overall I like roboform better because of all the extra features.
shhhh.... dont tell him anything or show him anything as he knows it all I could very well show him one of our directories that send mega traffic to submitters but what for? We already know it works that why those that submit and build backlinks are on the front pages of most if not all SEs and those that dont are no where to be found. PR or no PR it doesnt matter as the backlink is a must have for your site to move higher in the serps period. laterz malcolm
HI there are many directory submitter tools online... do a search in google for directory submitter and try them all to see which one you like... I personally use 3 different programs... cause what one has the other does not. Tom
roboform seems like a good tool its just getting your nerves to settle down and do the tedious work its so boring. I usually smoke a bowl and put on some chill music and do it for an hour at a time that's the only way for me to get it out of the way. Even with roboform
