    The constant learning curve,
The cost in relevant training materials
The cost of actually doing it...

    :)

There has to be a better way right?

I just use forums, and am going to do some test runs with paying an article writing service to write, then another service to do mass spinning and posting..

Always have to be trying something new...

Its usually a grind though, but like everyone else - am hoping to hit that holy Grail and put our efforts on a sort of autopilot...

    Good Luck!

    Who keeps up?

I like to hit the top forums and read. If something new comes out it is sure to be reported on one of them often with an interactive discussion.

Keeping up with the actual work is the problem I have. Learning is the easy part.
Just too much to do in a large niche for one person.......

I try to use the top forums (dp and warrior), some good blogs (copyblogger and problogger) and http://www.imnewswatch.com and of course, social media sites like twitter

You'll see that most of the successful people are "ahead of the curb". I think marketers right now are just now seeing the true benefits of Twitter. However, Shoemoney, Joel Comm, and other popular internet marketers have been at it for a while now already. They didn't do it by reading what other people were doing (although that isn't necessarily bad)... you just have to be willing to take risks and test things to see if they work for you.

I really don't try to keep up with the industry as a whole. I try to keep things as simple as possible so as not to get sidetracked into things that are unnecessary. When I post in certain internet marketing forums (like here or Warrior Forum, for example) I'll usually pick up a thing or two based on conversations that are going on there. That's about it.
