Keeping track of Channels

If you guys are like me, you have quite an amount of channels for your Adsense ads. Sometimes you use a channel to check up on a specific page, or a specific placement throughout your site(s).

The problem is that, later you can forget which channel you used where. Pretty frustrating and confusing. Especially if you are trying to handle multiple sites.

Now I've come up with a reasonable solution, at least for my needs. This might be pretty obvious, but it works. So here's a tip on keeping track of channels.

Create a simple spreadsheet file using two columns. One for channel name (name assigned to the channel) and one for the channel ID.
So you'll have something like this:
    FrontPageTop - 9889778977

Later on, when you need to know which channel id matches which name, or vice versa you can quickly look it up in your spreadsheet.

That's a pretty clever idea. I had not considered actually tracking the tracking.
