    Hi there,
I am currently planning a major site resdesign that will most likely require re-uploading posts and pages on my site. What techniques or concerns should I be aware of whilst conducting a change like this? I have solid SEO positions and would not like to put them in Jeopardy. Thanks!

It's definitely going to change you rankings, in a bad way too. If you can change the theme of your website without taking away the content, posts, & pix.. .then you should be fine... but reuploading your posts will only cause duplicate penalties, and you'll lose everything.

Why are you re-uploading the pages and posts. You should update your WordPress theme in such a way that it will adjust the current content (post/pages/images) from current theme automatically.

The best thing to do would be to keep your current url Structure for all the posts. So if you have a link such as domain.com/dating/how-to-find-girls, then this structure should stay the same. If you absolutely have to change it, make sure you are using 301 redirects to redirect the old url.

Also, make sure that your internal links stay in tact. That includes all anchor text as well.

Perhaps use 301 to redirects any old high ranking pages to new pages url's if changing URL's is unavoidable. Sounds a bit weird that your URL's would change though. Changing a theme should be a lot simpler than that and in case anyone reading doesn't know Wordptres - it usually is far simpler
