I currently have a website that is ranked high on google, where I need it. Someone made the website for me and handled the SEO. I don't know much at all about SEO. I'm considering moving my website to a platform that will handle the products better than they are now. Many problems with the website, mostly being old. Only thing good is it's ranking first on google for the product. I know that a lot of the SEO is handled in the code. If I move my website to a ecommerce platform, which I'm still working on, will there be a way to copy and paste enough code to keep the website in the number one spot where I need it? I NEED to move the website but I also NEED to keep the first rank I have currently. It will keep the same domain but all the code will be different. I'm still working on the best way to move it for a shopping cart service but can I be guaranteed to keep this good rank? Thanks.
Remember always build links the right way. Or hire an SEO company for your business. They might help you.
Keeping the good ranking means updating the content of the maintenance and improving the quality of information in the website.
Good back link is necessary for high page ranking..directory submission is one best way to get good back links........
don't try to over optimize to maintain ranking in any how. be continue and work smoothly with unique and fresh contents with accuracy.
I appreciate the comments but not quite sure my situation is understood. I HAVE the good ranking. I am going to move my entire website to a packaged eCommerce software/hosting solution. This will keep the domain but the original website that I did not create will not be used. This code has information that pertains to my rank in google if I am correct (I know very little). I understand getting backlinks is good but I have the rank I need. I just want to keep it when I switch hosing and re-do the entire website. If I look in the code I can see where the original designer has keywords and the title of the website and such. Is it an easy process to keep all this in transition to keep my page rank?
