For those guys that use several blogs as part of there SEO campaigns, do you all pay for different IP addresses of the domains so it looks like they are unlinked. Do you open an separate google analytics and webmaster account for each one? And leave Adsense off? Or do I worry too much? Has anyone noticed any difference, or should i just wack the same adsense on them all and put them under the same account? What do you do?
I don't use that particular technique, but if I did, the most important thing would be to ensure your blogs are on different IP blocks.
I have interlinked 36 websites of mine with analytics and links. But I am doing a new project, with my new knowledge and skills, I feel that they shouldn't be interlinked in any way with analytics, webmaster or adsense. But I am hoping that someone with experience, will come along and perhaps, say its ok to do some of it etc. At the moment, I am not putting analytics on the blogs, but i would love to add adsense.
If you can manage to do them in several different accounts then it would be better. The less links between anything is better and shows better possible results for your sites.
I have contacted the hosting company and they said even if i do hide the registration details and have a seperate I.P address, then the SE's will still know that we are on the same hosting. What do you think about just having sites on the same hosting and IP? I have done this in the past, but now i am chasing serious keywords. But i dont know how much difference it will make.
As long as you have a reasonable number of sites and they are all related then you can interlink them without fear of penalty regardless of whether they have different IPs or different registrant information without fear of penalty. Check out what Matt Cutts has to say about hosting multiple sites on the same IP.
