Keeping a record of SERPS results?

I tried using this site's tracker (http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/) with no luck. It takes a long long time to even update you as to the fact that your keyword isn't in the search engine, plus it's produced absolutely no results for me on words that I know turn up my site as #2. Does anyone have a suggestion for a better, or perhaps just faster, tool for keeping track of these keywords?

Hmm, interesting. I use it all the time and haven't have any real problems like that myself. Can you give an example and I'll test it out on mine if you like.

I know there's quite a few tools like that out there, but you'll end up having to pay for them. Try googling keyword tracking.

if you only run it once a day, what does it matter how fast it is. Also your results may be regionaly specific. The DP tool used the API which my return different results than what you see in a regional result list.

If I can't get it to track the first time, then I have to try several times, thus the speed matters. :(

I appreciate the help. One example would be the keywords 'pecan tree', where I know my site (http://www.tytyga.com) appears as number 3. When working with the tracker, I recieve N/A for all results. Perhaps I'm just doing it wrong? :p

    working here, and very quickly..

    pecan tree | http://www.tytyga.com | Google | 3

maybe your using 'quotes around your phrases'

    i just entered pecan tree

not 'pecan tree' or "pecan tree"

Maybe you have already used the max number of queries that the google API allows per day.

Ah, evidently, not adding the www to the front has made my queries time out and appear as horrible slowness. Thanks for your help guys! :)
