Most site owners have a hell of a time trying to keep their visitors staying longer. And how many actually click all the way through the pages?

    Are you having any luck?

Here's an article that will help you. It's 10 years old, but it still rocks.

    Don't just read it...study it!

    http://www.useit.com/alertbox/9710a.html

    In addition...

    1. Include pictures.

    2. Put more color in your site. Semi-dark green, steel blue and light gray are the top colors.

    3. Create the site that a 12-year old can understand, and, he would stay longer.

Added Bonus: Want to increase click-through rate on your ads, also? Put thumbnail pictures or cool-looking clipart next to them.

Thanks for sharing. I think there is one more tip. To slice your article into many pages, each page containing one point. This allows your visitors to read through multiple pages and exposing them many more times to see your promotional products. ;)

It is against the Adsense TOS. You'll be banned from Adsense if you do this, and they won't accept your apology.

Yeah, I've heard of that. Then screw Google.

There are way too many others out there who will want to advertise on your site.

But there are still ways around it. One is to write an article, or short tip, even, along with a picture that matches the ad, and put the ad in with the article.

In fact, look at some of the ads in between the posts here on Digital Point.
