What i would do is try and bump it up a bit first, and then sell it. I would say if you have over 1000 members, you should be ready to sell. I like to build it up first so then it has some inital value compared to the actual revenue of the site.
but once he has that momentum going than why will he sell?? he won't have to work and it will bring in money all by itself....
Make a forum to enjoy yourself, because you like the challenge, forget about making money . Then maybe you will make money. Check out, ask who make money here . Maybe 5 % of us do , but we all enjoy what we are doing.
