I have 4 FB profiles linked to real businesses, converted 1 to a page but found it was less useful than the profile as I lost the ability to message and be messaged by customers. Also, by keeping the profiles I can create a list of their email addresses which I can't with a page. There are advantages of pages, such as apps and insights, but I think the profile advantages outweigh them. The problem is we get contacted through FB pm quite a lot so we don't want to lose this. I understand I could lose the profiles as they are not meant to be profiles, but pages since they are businesses. The ideal thing would be to have people joining a group and a page so we can contact previous customers and maintain the page as the marketing tool while keeping within the rules, but not all our friends are going to join a group. What do people usually do about this?
