"Kawaii" means "lovable", "cute", or "adorable" in Japanese and is the quality of cuteness in the context of Japanese culture. The term is also very popular in anime and manga fandom.

    Thank you for your appraisal.

Nice find. That's an incredibly brandable domain. While I'm not hugely familiar with Japanese culture, nomenclature, or whether it passes the "radio test", I can only imagine similar cultures, and even European, American, etc., would jump on a name like this. I'm sure you could get $50 easy on a quick sale. I would hold onto it...didn't realize it was actually "created" in 1997. I would wait on an end user for this one, but you're likely to fetch $$$ or low $$$$ on a quick flip.

I would take a look at https://flippa.com/130073-japanese-kawaii-amazon-affiliate-store-organic-traffic-regular-earnings and possibly https://flippa.com/2939213-profitable-fashion-imports-easy-drop-shipping-social-media-w-10k-fans for some ideas on developing it. With 368,000 global exact searches, it's definitely worth developing it...

Actually Kawaii is the way native hawaiians pronounce Hawaii. I'd generally look in that direction as it carries more potential to be profitable as tourist domain for Hawaii rather than some japanese word.
Also take note of the song avril lvigne hello kitty (it's currently hot pop or whatever song and that kawaii element is the essence of it)
