I was just watching the news and it broke my heart seeing all kind of animals abandoned by their owners, having to drink that horrible water and with no food. Noah's Wish is sending volunteers to the area to rescue those poor animals, I hope you can help them. http://www.noahswish.org/Donations.htm
I donated to the Humane Society of the United States and encourage anyone who loves animals to do the same. I know where you are coming from fryman, it breaks my heart to see these animals hurting.
Geez break your heart over animals aint ya got anything else bigger than that to do the trick? Like all the families and people who lost loved ones?
I think there are already lots of threads about helping people, but no one seems to remember that dogs and cats are living creatures too. Feel free to move over to other threads and post your comments over there, but if you don't have anything related to this one, then just shut up. I was watching my local news channel. It is anchored by a woman that is know here for being an animal lover and she asked people to help this organization.
Fryman I agree. Even the dogs that were being saved days later were making me feel pretty bad. They were roaming around in that sad excuse for water starving to death and scared and confused. Sucks to see that, what is worst is we have only seen a small part of it.
My last parting shot is that it wouldnt be safe to help or adopt them as they would be full of toxins from the water. This in turn could and would give humans diseases. Safest and cheapest thing to do is send some cops in with shotguns.
The harsh thing is for those whom have no heart, these animals did not choose to stay, half of them were left behind by their owners, that sickens me, I have 2 dogs and 4 cats and they are like my children, I could not for any reason leave my animals behind to face that alone. And yes I do care more for animals then people alot of the time. Animals love you unconditionally, animals won't judge you based on race, sex, class, or appearance. Human beings could learn alot from their loyal little friends.
You have a point on the last part which is true. But regardless, I grew up on in the country and learned what was most important and the basics of life regarding animals and people ect. It frustrates me to realize that some people will go so far as to protect an animal more than a person. That makes me see red. You got to use rationality in this situation and realize that there are still people human beings down there that need help before any animals need or get it. After all humans are living souls and animals are here for our purpose not the other way around. Anyways I should probably not read such threads so I wont cuase a major problem lol.
People know what is going on... animals don't. Just imagine the terror they are feeling right now Doc, why don't you go lie on the highway for a while? "people" like you disgust me.
Geez, that's one nice fellow. Surpirsed he is still in the green. p.s. "they would be full of toxins from the water" <-- BS
Then step away from the thread and stop posting. We already know you could care less, there is no point in repeating it. This thread is about what the animals are going through. I agree animals are not humans and humans should for sure come first. But we should also think about the animals as we work on clean up and final rescue operations. It is the right thing to do. Period.
