Kaspersky is a stronger one that is better for a heavey duty computer that is built well.

norton or symantic is better for a basic computer with 512 to 1 g ramn and a small CPU. if you have more you could handle Kaspersky

    its that simple

kaspersky and Symantec are good. I use them both, but not at the same time. need to uninstall one before put another. I like kaspersky it is fast when updating but I don't really like the sound when the kaspersky find virus..

I use Kaspersky and it's great but they do the odd silly thing every now and again, very recently they managed to block google.com with one of their updates.

    Hi there,

First to answer the question of your post: choose Kaspersky.

But in my oppinion don't choose it for the less resource used.
It's an AV so it will get many resource.

And i have a best alternative : Bitdefender, who is actualy the only one AV who give a real challenge to hackers to bypass protection. It's euristic options to search a vulnerable code inside a code is more powerful than ever.

The point is the others AV aka Norton is only signature based so it will recgnize only viruses who have been stock in his database.

If you have more questions ask me ;)

I will go with people voting stream - Kaspersky.
My personal experience with kaspersky is excellent it blocks malicious application and help to prevent it from launching. But kaspersky may be trouble some for newbie computer users.Kaspersky keeps blocking threat application which may be a game or software executable file, to make it work we have remove that from threat list and give access as truested.
As far as i considered kaspersky is excellent and its official forum helps you out with any problems you have.

New Norton 2009 is faster than the old versions .Norton and Mcafee are famous as they are bundled in CD's with a new PC purchase . Anyone who is little bit botherd about security would choose Kaspersky ..

My Vote is also for Kaspersky.
Don't try Symantec products, if you want your system light and fast

When was the last time you tried Norton?

Because Norton NIS 2009 benchmarks way faster than Kaspersky, plus has a better detection rate.

if you are only comparing norton and kaspersky than i would go for kaspersky. why, because norton is a resource hog and has lower detection rate than kaspersky. but i you ask for my personal opinion i would go for eset NOD32.

Kapersky is the better one, they seem to be good at keeping up with threats.

Id suggest you look at AVG also

Kaspersky is best because it can remove virus easily than the symentic and symentic is not proper antivirus software
