I think we cannot compare one to another both guards works if they have update files but I have experienced Kaspersky get less resources comparing with symantec.

If you had to choose - Kaspersky.

Why? Because it's much less resource hungry than Norton.

However, if I had an option I would choose NOD32!

Been using kaspersky for a while now. Served me well.

I'm familiar with avast, avg and bitdefender. I must say kaspersky top them all in term of stability and virus detection. :)

Kaspersky is way better. Norton takes control of your system and when you try to uninstall it, lookout!

From my personal experience I can tell that Kaspersky Antivirus and Symantec Antivirus both are resource intensive antivirus. Though you close the program it continues scanning all the time. Continuous scanning makes all the program work slow. And if you are using any software using crack or patch you will be a lot of virus notifications.

    both hav great virus def.
i hav used both. Symentecc slows ur pc down a bit. but not as much as people hype, at least in my case :)
i hav used NAV 2005. its simply great. but one annoying aspect is that Norton would download about 30 mb for each update. i dont know why! if u hav slow connection it would annoy u.
but still if u want me to choose i would choose NAV 2005

I agree with aniroy1986, I also don't like big updates. But I really think that now a days we need antispyware program more than antivirus prorgram. ;)

Spyware are more dangerous than virus. Because spyware steals your valuable information and send it to a third party which is more venerable than virus. Don't you think so?
