So Karl Rove was found in contempt of court today, and it looks like there is no chance he is going to get out of this without, an easily obtainable, presidential pardon. He originally used the excuse that he had a previously planned oversees trip and was unable to attend the latest hearings that he was summoned to. Finally we see that he isn't above the law.

    1. He was not held in contempt of court. He was cited by one committee for being in contempt of Congress.

    2. There is nothing for the President to pardon.

    3. It is yet to be seen if there will be any consequence to this action at all.

    4. It was only the Judiciary Committee who recommended a contempt citation. Pelosi would have to refer it to the entire house to a vote to actually hold him in contempt of Congress.

That is my understanding of the facts.
