Kanoodle to offer context-targeted ads!

Finally, this article claims that Kanoodle is going to release a content targeted ad program soon. They have a decent program, but my main problem was that the ads where poorly targeted, and the CTR was very very low (like 0.03% low :p )

I think Kanoodle will become a viable alternative to Google adsense once they release this, as their ads already pay more than most other adsense competitors.

I do think that they have had plenty of time to get this going, and am kinda wondering why they are taking so long :p

I wouldn't put all my bets on Kanoodle. Over the past 6 to 12 months, they traffic has gone from bad.....to even worse.

I have seen conversions and the clicks were cheap, but the amount of clicks it takes will sometimes exceed the price you will pay in Adwords or Overture.

As a publisher to collect a check, I am sure the program will be promising since their ads seem to get clicked all day long.

I advertise with Kanoodle and I am very suspicious of their traffic. I get signups with people who click through with Google, but not once have I had a Kanoodle click thru even view more than one page.

I thought I'd try spending $5 or $10 advertising a few affiliate programs to see what the traffic is like, still waiting for them to approve my advertiser account. It does sound bad though.

They are a small company that will be bought out by a larger company in the end Josh, I would say that you will be better off working with:

    www.targetpoint.com

    www.bidvertiser.com

Or just wait for Yahoo if you don't like the above.

You could always go to www.cj.com and stick some affiliate ads on your sites also.

targetpoint is good, but the ads dont render right in firefox, and take too long to load == lower CTR.

Bidvertiser has crappy advertisers, tons of casino sites, etc, and the template editor changes teh template for all sites, so its impossible for different sites to have different looks.

Josh, you should develop your own network and show them how it is done.

.. and Kanoodle is becoming a bad [company] word everywhere now ;)

Heh.. I thought I'd spend a few bucks on some advertising on low-paying keywords with them, got 200 clicks, and not one lead (affiliate program -- entering zip code). Really poor traffic.

    Josh

edit: Actually, they charged me for 200 clicks, I only got 100 and something.
