Jux2 Search Engine For Sale On eBay

No offense Ben, but the domain is only 10 days old. Yes, I did find one backlink... One in MSN from a alt/binary group. Not indexed in MSN however. Only Google. Jux2 was a year and half old, well indexed, had good/quality backlinks and was a PR6 site. I'm just not seeing the value, outside of the Skin. That I will say is very nice! Other than that, I can't see much value here.

 

Because it looks like it is Chatologic with some slight modifications. Nice modifications BTW, and again, a nice Skin.

Well I am not expecting to get anywhere near as much as jux2 sold for, but in the future puttx could easily be as popular as jux2 and I personally think the script is better (but then I havn't seen jux2's source).

I assume your refering to chatologica's php meta search script (becuase the other one is written in perl, so there is no way that puttx could contain any of that code becuase it is php).

They have similiar purposes, but I cannot see any other similarities apart from that

• Puttx does not search any of the search engines that chatologica does
• chatologica does not re-rank results using it's own alogs
• chatologica does not group results
• it does not allow users to compare results - like puttx
• chatologica takes different variables - look at the urls

there are many other differences aswell. How much do you think you would pay for the complete source code of the chatologica script and resell rights? It would be at least several thousand dollars. In the auction for puttx you get a superior script with resell rights which should be worth a similiar amount, probably more...

So why don't you just sell the software, ie., license it out? You stand to make more off that, ie., selling mulitple copies of the source than a one shot deal on eBay.

No, not what happened to the Jux2 Auction.. We already know that.. I am asking what happened to the Puttx auction. It seems to have disappeared from eBay.

not entirely accurate results though....I'm ranked #6 on Google for my keyword and it shows I'm ranked #2 on google, so it differs than live I think.

 

there's an interesting SE on ebay right now "moase.com" (mother of all search engines -- I assume) kind of a funny name with some interesting features. Anyone know if this runs on a standard available script? Has a travel, shopping, and a few other search options.

 

Neat concept! Been around for while it looks like. Fast, clean, customizable. Well indexed, but NO PR and not a single backlink. Outside of the script, I am not sure it is worth much. The domain is not every easy to remember, unless you associate the acronym with the name...

Pretty cool though!
