I have seem people post prices as provided by estibot.com.

What do you guys think, does estibot.com provide a fair price guide or is it really not worth going by?

I don't trust estibot, it bases its estimates on search traffic, and very inflated search traffic at that. I think if you are aware of how keyword based domains work once developed then I think you are able to do a much more accurate appraisal.

Also the key to really knowing a domain's value is what people are prepared to pay for it. Domains sold at auction will tell you what the wider domainer community is prepared to pay, you can get a far higher price by holding out for the right buyer.

I think you will get a much more accurate idea from knowing the market and chatting to those who operate in it!
