Just wondering if it is wrong to by traffic to a website with adsence on it?

Im still new to this and doing alot of reading. I have seen alot of sites out there selling traffic to your website. Is that wrong to do if you have adsence on your site? It doesnt seem wrong to me because it is just traffic. your not buying clicks! right? Thanks

 

Yup, it is wrong, against TOS and will get you banned
also, most of the traffic are not real...just some proxy trick..don't waste your money on it

 

Adsense frowns on what they call "artificially inflated impressions" i.e. visitors that do not come there voluntarily. Buying traffic would qualify.

 

Sounds dubious, I wouldn't trust it.

 

is it wrong to promote my site with a bill board in nyc? wouldnt that be the same idea? do they frown on that? what if i have a site called fat-to-skinny.com and i tatoo that on my big fat stomach and under that i put watch me shrink in 90 days at fattoskinny.com, can i do that and walk around with my shirt off all day? i guess im just thinking of easy ways to grow a site faster than everyone says it takes. Any acceptable ways to do that? thanks again

 

better to buy an advertise on related website than buy a traffic

 

Interesting, i just sold my three days worth of traffic while my website was down due to a server switch to a person...for xxx amount of dollars. The site didn't have adsense on it, but the guy got xx,xxx amount of visitors for it in exchange.

 

If you did those things then you would be getting voluntary traffic, not someone who just click on a link because he's part of some traffic getting scheme. See the difference?

 

Ok, im beginning to see. But there has to be a way that i can get thousands of visitors to my site each day that is quicker and ok with goog. Any ideas? I like the idea of buying ads on other related sites. There has to be a better way. i played around with adwords a bit but lost 50% of my money. thanks for any advice.

 

buy ads from high traffic site will be better for ur case..
it is next to impossible to make money from adsense by using adword

just do a search with keyword traffic in the "link sales" board..
but you better ask for proof for traffic before paying money

 

Oh and very true. Also make sure to ask for a view of their referrers list so you can insure that the traffic is natural and not one of those traffic builders. Defeats the whole thing if you don't

 

You could always search for sites in your niche and advertise on the most popular one. Or if their rates are too expensive, keep going down the list. One of them is bound to give you a rate you can afford. Best of all, you'll be getting targeted traffic from people actually interested in what you have to offer. Hundreds of visits from these guys are many times better than 1000s of untargeted hits from those traffic schemes.

Any of those sites that tell you they will send you thousands of targeted visitors. They are full of it.

 

Almost anything you do for traffic is a violation. Any thing that cause repeat hit to the site will cause a violation. It's best to have a back up money source besides google. google can't be trusted.

 

No its certain publishers that cant be trusted, so google needs to be careful and look after advertisers' interests, otherwise adword would decline in popularity and all us adsense users would lose out.

People dont seem to understand that adsense and adwords exists in a loop, if you try to rip off advertisers you're ripping off yourself.

Any natural means to generate traffic is fine:
i.e. add a cool feature, advertise that cool feature.

It's very simple.

 

I saw on tv a few years back, some guy anounced that he was going to show a video of some guy dying. the media got a hold of it and he website went all over the nation and at the time the video was to start, like over 1 million went to his website to watch someone die.. It was just a guy sitting in a chair and it said we are all dying. funny..im not sure if he had google ads though.
