I think i know the answer to this question but i hope i'm wrong. I've been using adsense for about 7 years now and every time i think i optimize site placements and dollar values rise, google cuts me right back down to what i was making before.. it then stays there for a few weeks/months and start to creep up again to double and triple and then bang, back down again.. i guess i could say that it's just the cyclical nature of things but that's hard to imagine when one day you are getting 50 cents a click and that keeps up for about 4 or 5 days and then back down to 10 cents a click for weeks.. anybody have any ideas why this happens?? i sure hope it's not that google sees extra money and decides they can easily take more from me and keep it for themselves.. thanks...
I noticed the same thing with fluctuating earnings but mainly attributed it to the changing content on my website. I do know that prices do change as people bid on ad prices but that does not happen that often. It all really depends on what ads are being served based on the content and it is kind of a good thing and a bad thing with adsense. They do a great job of serving relevant ads but the ads often change in revenue per click and relevancy.
i have many sites but my main one is mustangtraderonline.com and the main keywords i think are 'mustangs for sale' and 'mustang for sale'.. but how would i know what keywords people are clicking on ads for???
When you target niches that do not have an easy correlation to advertisements then make changes it's hard for Adsense to determine a value for your clicks.
I suggest you integrate your adsense account with analytics. it gives you a better picture of what's going on with regards to the oages generating the clicks Also try increasing the amount of traffic you are getting to your site and see if that results in a sustained improvement But really tracking is the way to go
???? this niche has an easy correlation to ads i think.. the ads have always been relevant.. plus, no changes have been made to the website in months..
traffic is already around 10000 visits per day so that shouldn't be an issue.. and it's tied into analytics already..
