Hello all, I had found this dropped domain, which ranked Google's page 2 for the one-word keyword in the domain name. It had PR0; it was dropped 2 months ago. It ranked well, but was PR0. It was PR0 this morning, too. I had just made a stupid temporary site just to ba able to keep its good rank on Google. Now, 1 hour ago, I just updated my site, and the "index" is now PR0. It was PR0 in the morning. Now, my questions are: - Is this because the site's previous PR (before it was dropped) came back? - Or is it because something special went on as a result of my way of doing the inbound links, etc. After all, the site got its PR3 after I updated it today, not after I first made it last week. This second option is reasonable also because it is the www.example.com/index version that has PR3, not the www.example.com version. The latter says N/A (possibly because it is new).
if you give us the domain name the we may comment on it. but i can say that i had the same situation that i reg-ed a domain and did nothing about it except tagging it to somewhere, i could see that domain was pr4 so this is google, we can't understand it
Huh. is this a typo. So your PR went up from a 0 to ? in one day. I didn't think Google updated PR this quickly? But Im not for sure.
normally they update PR within every 3-4 months. so about 4 time a year. last time was in the end of april.
If the index.[html, php] has PR 3 and the domain.com has PR0 it's probably always been like that, You just didn't notice. Google sees them as different pages because they are different URL's. They wouldn't have updated your toolbar PR and no one else. When they update they do it across the board for everyone at the same time.
