First off, let me tell you that I'm a windows user. I hate IE more than anything, so I was using Firefox and loved it. But I just switched to Safari, and let me tell you - it rocks. Pros of switching: - A lot faster! =O - Has all the things I want (tabs, password management, RSS, spellcheck) - Simple and like I said, FAST - Safari is really stylish - Neat text effects Cons of switching: - I miss some of my plugins, but I can still get equal equivalents Is anyone else using Safari on windows? I am so surprised not as many people are! I think I'm in love
it is nice, have had it but never used, think i will try it out a bit more, but still a fan of FF currently.
Firefox is a wonderful browser. I had been using it since FF1 was out. The whole open source idea just rocks. But the Safari interface is just amazing. Bookmarks looks like iTunes =O Still testing all the features, but so far Safari is kicking ass. It's sooooo fast!
Ok just downloaded safari. Its really working very fast BTW how to add Google PR toolbar in safari I can't find it in safari browser ? Anyone guide me please ? DON.
that sounds great! i am a firefox fan, and i guess i will still be with it for the long future. but i think safari is worth trying. beside firefox, i also use opera sometimes. it works pretty well.
http://www.fluther.com/disc/11723/i-there-a-google-toolbar-for-safari-on-a-pc/ Google toolbar for Safari on a PC isn't supported yet, but it will be soon. Google is getting lots of requests from people like us =]. I tried Opera once by the way. I didn't find it appealing. Had a lot of trouble playing embedded videos, and plus its slower.
Safari is ok.. how about Opera? i thought it was good at first but it has some downsides.. The firebug plugin is the best reason to use FF, FF does everything well so i think ill stick with it.
I tried switching to Safari on a Windows based pc and I didn't like it at all. It's stylish and whatnot but it eats resources like nothing else. FireFox for a very long long time.
I use firefox for it's plugin capabilities. I use things like TwitterFox, Search status, SeoQuake, some bookmark sync software (multi pc heaven) etc. NONE of these were on safari. The browser it's self is well made, looks sleek and stylish and is very fast. However, without those I don't think it would increase my productivity in the slightest.
