I am finally starting to understand keyword marketing and analyzing. The thing i wanted to know when submitting to directories or search engines do you use keyword phrases which after keyword analysis have high search volume but low competitors? So that i would have high placement on search engines?

Yes. Use your specific key phrases as much as possible without seeming ridiculous, including at least once in the title.
Also, when you're getting links, try to get the anchor text (the text the user clicks on) to be those keywords.

It's just something that the search engines pretty heavily factor in.

So i have more or better chance getting indexed if i use an anchor text lets say "nutrition articles" and link it to my website?

Edit: Could i also add keywords in my forum posts? would that effect my ranking and so on?

Generally speaking, having relevant keywords in anchor text links pointing to your website will help your ranking.

Yeah it will, and yes you can. Although if you're a beginner, the exact phrase "nutrition articles" might be a bit tricky to nail down a rank in. But it's worth a try anyways, just mix it up a little, so you can get that little bump in other things too.

Once again, not meaning to be a prick.
But if you think it's easy, you don't know what you're doing.

    Alright Cheesecake.
Please explain to me the primary algorithm differences between Ask,MSN,Yahoo, and Google.
Also, enlighten me on the number of links per day it takes to emulate a viral growth of an article or video on google? Here's a hint: It's a curve, not straight, and bottoms out.
And what does it take to unseat a site that's spent years at the top of a popular search term? Since they've had more links than you for longer, how can this be done?
Come on now bud. It's an insult to me, and presumably lots of others here to call it easy. And if you can't answer those questions, it's time you re-examine your own skill.
