I have just completed my new website and now would like to list it on Google. I'm not a computer guru. Would like suggestions from you experience web masters on a good way to begin with "ad words", getting a good ranking on google, how much of a budget is good to start off with etc. Thank You In Advance for your Advice.

Google adwords not provide you good ranking in search result area.
But it will show in the advertise area (both show in the same page).

When you stop adwords or you money was depleted your ads will not show.
It is difference from SEO method. SEO no need budget.

    Hi Steven,

One of the best tips I can give you as a new Adwords user is do a lot of reading before you open up your first campaign. Adwords is very good about storing click history for a domain. If you open up with a bad ad and poorly matched keywords and, over time, get a lot of impressions but no clicks, the CTR relevancy for your account will be devastated. It is very hard to recover from a bad CTR ratio on your domain.

Make sure that your ads are very relevant to the keywords in your account. It's often best to group keywords under different ad groups, so you can display the best possible ad for the keyword being shown.

The budget will also depend a lot on your competition. I've seen categories go page 1 for 50 cents a click and others go for $15.00 per click. In your adwords account, use the Google keyword suggestion tool. There's a way in the tool to find out average first page CPC and that will give you a good indicator of budget. If it's going to take $5.00 per click, figure out how many clicks you'd like per day then multiply. If you wanted 20 clicks a day, for example, set your daily budget to $100.
