I just lost my job and have been looking into studying and using adsense to generate money on the web. I have seen claims that you can make a good amount of money if you know what your doing. Does anyone have any advice about if this is a profitable venture for me to undertake and if it is what I can expect to make and any tips to help. Thanks for any reply.

If you have never made money online before, don't rely on it. Yes, a lot of people do make a living online, including me. However, we have been doing it for YEARS. We have read a countless amount of books, forum posts, etc. and have gone through many late hours and days without rest. What you should do, is get a new job and in your free time read about SEO, marketing, blogging, and copywriting. Once you get a handle on that, start a blog. Update it as often as you can, but be consistent and don't write about personal crap, write about an actual subject and ONLY that subject. Generally speaking, most people don't make a lot of money from ads. It is a great extra income, but nothing to rely on.
I would agree with the above answers. For the starting point you cannot rely on. If you are in the full time job that will help you to invest more money on your internet venture. That is what I am doing. You have to work very hard to make this full time job. But, you could do. Even I am earning form internet more than my full time job. even though I have not left my Job, because any extra income would be nice . I would advice you to create your own blog or site and post some contents. That contatc me. I will guide you how to make money with adsense.. i have been doing adsense for past two years and its worth spending time.
You can make money from AdSense, but you will need time to make sustainable income from it. maybe you should try something else, like writing articles.

adsense income isnt definate. but it all depends on you, on how willingly you want to work on the internet for adsense lot of people run their houses through adsense income a lot of them you will find on this forum only
