    The Wordpress community? or the community of users on your website?

    You need to promote the site within the niche. Targetting people who fish? Get known on the other fishing sites and social media.
    Is there a reason for people to return to your site? What are you offering to lure people back?

    That's quite broad. What are you offering them to get them to return? What do you do that they can't already get on other websites, FB etc?

    Blog means contents .... Contents means you can share many ideas or details or solution on interested/trending topics .... So why are you saying that not offering anything ???

    Without compelling content people won't remember your site, nor remember to return. You need people to think "I'll keep that open in a tab" or "I'll bookmark that" and actually want to see what's new next time they have time to kill.

    Blogs and forums are struggling compared to facebook groups and other social media. Forums are virtually dead, this one used to have thousands of new threads each day and now wouldn't even have 100. I did see something about discord adding forums so maybe there's hope!

    Back to your blog and site. You need to give people a reason to return. Maybe you have special skills to share, tutorials, or even just opinion pieces. Find a template for business plans and work through it. How do your target market currently behave? what are your competitors doing? what do you have that's special in that niche?

    Your site needs to serve first and foremost. What will you be offering?
    It doesn't have to be products (that is assuming you have any, if so great!) you can also use your website to teach.

    Is there something you are good at that you think will interest people

    Would really get some research in SEO practices in and then regularly post relevant content that will attract organic traffic.

    Basically, you need to ask the question why should people come to me? You should serve otherwise people will go elsewhere, it's that simple.
