I have just started with clickbank. Have a few links and plugs about products built into my website www.virtualmoneymaking.com

My question; What is the most successful way to sell their products?
Are most people doing similar to me and just linking reports/or website links to clickbank products?

I would suggest you to add few banners to your website. ClickBank have a lot of good "Make Money online" related products (under E-Business & E-Marketing category). look for good banners that are relevant to your site.

The only way to get repeat commissions over and over is to build a list of subscribers and send them products to solve their problems. There is a new method of affiliate marketing referred to as "Affiliate Marketing 2.0" which uses relationship building at it's core.
If you want to be successful with Clickbank you will have to be prepared to set-up various squeeze pages and focus on building relationships with your subscribers. Sadly the old method of just sending visitors to the vendors sales page via your hoplink no longer cuts it. You also need to drive targeted traffic to your website in order to make any sales...which is another story!!;)

I agree with Mike. Squeeze pages in one of the best ways because you always have that list to market to and you can increase your income by cross promoting different products in the same niche if you wanted to.

Squeeze pages are an option, although I'd hardly say they're required. Focus on getting targeted traffic to your site. Proper keyword research is basically the most important factor.

PPC is great but I wouldn't suggest it for an absolute beginner. I think your main focus should always be on good unique content for your potential costumers and as sappy as it may sound care for your visitors. Give them what they want, and test, test, test...and when you think you have a winner test some more:)
