Hello Everyone, Just started up with CJ a couple weeks ago. I was just curious as to some peoples information on how I can use CJ effectively to bring in some extra income from my family. I am not looking for anything drastic or anything, maybe just the regular $100.00 min that they do. I originally joined CJ because I was going to start up a Newegg affiliate store selling their products but, it is taking a while to get it set up and with it only offering 1-2% per sale not sure if it would have even been worth it. So please everyone's thoughts and comments would sure be great to hear. I am looking for any input on this.
Well yes I knew that. But I was wandering any types of tips on certain product, or certain niche to try. Also, with using CJ, should you try full blown out affilaite stores, or is it banner to use banners to promote product rather than taking the time to set up an entire store with their product and market your store. Also better to do them on blogs? or what not? Anyone ever bought 125x125 banners on peoples sites and advertise their affiliate banner and stuff of that nature. Any tips and help would be useful.
Not making huge bucks with them but still making some $$ with a bit of efforts. Links seem to have helped me a lot compared to banners or 125x125 buttons. Try out the text links and other links. Hopefully hey will help you too.
Well I guess also, I am asking if anyoen who has had pretty good sucess with CJ if they wouldn't post some of the things they have done to help generate a bit of extra income on the side.
If you are going to do adwords or any pay per click be very careful. Try to learn as much as you can about the program or you will end up spending more than you actually make. I wish I had some tips for you, but I still have sold a thing yet. You are more than welcome to pm me and maybe we could work together trying different things to speed up the trial and error process! Good luck to you
thank you life31, I had just about given up on CJ because I have only earned a little bit of money--i will try placing links instead
Thanks for all the tips and help so far guys...Really appreciate it all and look forward to trying some of these things and still feel free to add anything else that might help with this process.
Hello ShawnsITSolutions I think a part of the puzzle is to not limit yourself to one affiliate network and develop sites that will focus on sales 'buyers' vs. just 'readers'. I wrote a post about this earlier this year.. Readers vs. Buyers When I say work on sites.. be diverse, explore niches that work for you and don't be hesitant to experiment and test. Banners never really worked for me. What seems to work are store fronts, landing pages with offers and text links within content. Of course the type of site, type of traffic and type of product can affect this. I would start with topics you are familiar with, and start exploring other networks, EPN, LinkShare, Azoogle, etc. Look for trends and opportunities within your own test sites then follow the cash by creating similar sites or improving your existing sites. Traffic is required to get sales, so you're looking at organic and paid traffic. I personally like paid traffic the best (PPC), since you are targeting 'buyers'. As the previous post suggested, be careful with PPC. Monitor and go slow with your PPC campaigns. Find the 'sweet spot' for your ROI. I, myself have a ton to learn.. so take what I said with a grain of salt. There are some gurus here.. so watch, study, learn, test. It takes time, and you'll benefit from it if you stick with it. I will have a look into CJ but I tried affiliate with click bank and spent more than I earned when they say you can earn $5000-$10000 a week or month is bunk maybe 1 person in 10,000,a $100 a week after expenses perhaps
