Hi. I just started using adsense and started out on a blog about interior design. I am also in the process of making up a website for my freelance writing services and want to put adsense on there. Is it worth it to use adsense on blogs? And would using adsense on a service site be doing myself any good?
It's always worth putting AdSense on a page. You aren't gonna lose money from doing it. Let's say six months down the road you notice you've made.. 80 dollar from a blog you were going to make anyways just from the AdSense on it was it worth it then?
That is true. I didn't think of that. I want to get the blog and website built up so i can increase my traffic to both. I am still learning how to do that though. I have been a freelance writer for years and publish many things and I see that many people use article marketing but most of them seem to have a product to sell and that seems to be why they have so much traffic.
If you are a freelance writer then it won't take long to see the results. Content is the king and if you can produce large amount of quality and unique content for your sites - you will win in the long run. All that Seo, and article marketing will come eventually, for now - stay focused on writing quality and unique articles. Sometimes you don't even need to promote your articles if you have a lot of returning visitors and if the content is superb your visitors will do the hard work for you (linkbait).
Ok so basically just keep putting content on the blog and should I publish content too that is related to my blog and links back to it? Are we allowed to put links on here? If so, I can put a link to my blog and maybe you can give me your opinion.
Make sure that you pay attention to your ad placement. Do some reading on the topic. It will make a difference on how much you earn.
It depends with how much traffic your site has. Adsense on blogs are worth it if you have many visitors. Make the content of your blog interesting so your readers would keep on coming back. Try marketing your blog too by commenting in other related blogs, blog forums and social bookmarking. This will help a lot.
I think that depends on your site and the design. There are many advertising programs out there. I have some free video tutorials I just put on my site if you want to check them out. I did some introductions to other popular advertising agencies like AdBrite, InfoLinks, Bidvertiser, and ExitJunction that are some of the Google Adsense alternatives out there. Depending on the design of your site you may want to investigate these other popular ad agencies as many of them have different ad formats that can complement adsense (ie. inline, full-page, invisible etc). Here are the tutorials: Free Video Tutorials on The Most Popular Ad-Agencies Scroll down the page a little the videos are at the bottom. I hope you find them helpful!
Great. Thank you so much for the advice everyone. I am going to begin doing some more research on ad placement and check out the videos that were suggested.
