If you're comfortable talking, you can record yourself reading all your articles and put an MP3 at the top of each article and call it a podcast. Then submit those mp3's and your site to podcast directories under the health and fitness section. Always make sure you talk about your website and how great it is in each podcast.

Thank you for your support, this forum is a great place. I've never seen such a large amount of people which are eager to help in other forums. I really appreciate your help and I've applied many of the things suggested.

It's been around 10 days I think since I created my blog, I think I'm finally starting to get the views.
Each day the traffic is increasing, I'm gonna keep adding quality content in order to make sure the traffic will keep increasing. I've had around 55 views so far today, and there are 30 minutes left of this day so I'm happy with that. I'm finally getting some hits from google search.

As I mentioned, I submitted my site to as many blog, web and rss directories I could find, posting each new article on digg, stumbleupon and similar services. Posting my articles also on Ezine and a1articles. Things are improving thanks to the guidelines you guys have been giving at this forum. I'm gonna consider podcasting also.

I was wondering how can I further improve my blog and traffic, other than doing what I'm currently doing.
Should I try and exchange quality links with sites related to mine

You should really put some images on your posts. Raw text looks rather boring, even if it's very good quality content like you have on your website. Images can grab the readers/viewers attention and increases the attentention span. Why do you think study books always have images :)

yes try to match a small image with each post ... adds color

and if you';re willing put your face up there, people reading are much more likely to stick around leave a comment when they can connect someone to what they are reading

you're on the right track ... give it a few months and keep updating the traffic will come

I added one image to one of my post, I'm gonna make it a habit and start using more images.
Also, I was wondering do you guys think that the bunch of blog and website directory links that I have on my site might harm me?
Some people claim that in certain cases Google punishes that.
My pagerank is 0, by adding quality contents and building links with time it will get higher right?

    Help.. thing are getting worse...
There were several very specific keyword searches which brought me traffic from google,
i was at the first page of the search results for those keywords.
Today I barely got 10 unique views...I typed the keywords that brought me traffic in google search
and my site doesn't even show. When I did the same searches two days ago I was at the first page of google search.
What is happening, why is google punishing me?
    What can be causing this.
I'm really frustrated because I've been putting a lot of effort on this, and using my sheer knowledge in order to write original and high-quality articles

You sound like you're having a good start! Updating to Ezine Articles and GoArticles regularly is a must! Both of those article sites is where I get much of my traffic. Try submitting at least one or two new articles to both of them a week. Also make sure that the way you word your link in the resource box is enough to get people interested.

Try rewording your resource box every couple of articles, and see which one will get you the most clicks to your site.

I have also noticed that more and more people have been clicking my link through my articles after I put a pic up on my Ezine & GoArticles Profile. If you have a good pic of yourself, be sure to put it up.

DUDE! 10 hits a day is NOT bad in any way, especially not after a WEEK! I've been blogging for about 2 months and I'm getting like 20 - 40 hits a day, alot of search terms. I also have 200+ days, but that's just SU traffic.

Also, PING YOUR BLOG! You could go to www.pingoat.com or www.autopinger.com and ping the services with your RSS feed (yeah, you need one).

If you're very serious about blogging (like I am, and you appear to be as well) I would suggest you getting a proper host and a domain name and start using wordpress. Honestly, the theme you have now is like, green. Lol. Well, it ain't a beauty, in my opinion.

If you're serious, you're gonna want a proper host eventually. You wouldn't wanna do all this and build up popularity and pagerank and all of that now for a blogspot.com domain, just to later decide that you want a domain name. Then you've just lost months of work.

Depending on your niche, if you want quick overnight traffic, MySpace is a tremendous tool.

Just go to MySpace and sign up for your own account. Put your profile and information. Make friends, join your niche (relevant) groups and have fun!

like everyone else is mentioning you're actually doing a good job.

have you looked into long tail keywords? a few dozen of those can bring in a steady flow of daily traffic from SE's

on the other hand if you really want traffic by tomorrow look into advertising... you can buy cheaper clicks over at adbrite, adengae and similar ad networks.

and optimize your site for higherpaying kwords...

    HI,

You've got great writing, and the possibility to establish a reader base:

My suggestion is to move your blog to a real domain, purchase hosting and install wordpress.

The follow a traffic building plan that includes many of the above suggestions and great writing as you have.

    Success,
    Rich
