Greetings Everyone! I have posted on this forum before, but it has not been underneath this subject. However, I just opened up an account with Azoogle ads, and have been marketing ringtones. I've done PPC in the past, so that has helped me some. But does anyone have any tips which they'ev learned from previous experiance with these types of affiliate ads. Also, other than ringtones, what are some of the best converting offers right now? I know I have thrown alot of general questions out here, but any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks!
My advice to any starting would be to stay away from ringtones. There are plenty of other offers that aren't hyper saturated that would give you a much better chance of success.
My advice is you can start wherever you want to. I originally started in a niche market, it was fine But I was anxious about this Ringtone craze, so I made a teaser (test run). I mean whats the worst that can happen. And from PPC, after sending $3.34 worth of traffic already made my 1st lead. And thats only the start. If you wanna try out the market, GO AHEAD! But come with something a tab bit different and you can make head way
Why direct more competition to an already saturated and extremly hard market? I think it's best to point new comers to things less saturated and easier to start out with.
No doubt. You need super ninja skills to compete and make big $$ in ringtones. I hate fighting over scraps anyway.
I love my ninja skills. I agree though, there are so many ripe fish for the plucking, ringtones is a bad place to start.
why does seem like ringtones is all anyone ever talks about then? what are some of these other ripe fish?
I read SonicReducer's blog today and it had awesome tips on picking new offers and what to avoid (he's also above in this thread). http://www.directoryvault.com/blog
Yeah not sure I can agree with someone who tells people who stay away from seasonal offers. Most people feel that way, and thus there is very little real competition in some seasonal areas and you can make a lot of money in a short period of time.
Ringtone PPC can be hard to do if you haven't done much PPC Arby before, I'd recommend starting in some less competitive cats.
Hello, So what would you suggest to do for a newbie ? Which kind of area should he go to ? Best regards,
Ringtones I think are the easiest to start in... #1. Requires no Credit Card, Personal Information (except cell #), or SS # #2. Super easy and fast conversions (enter number, confirm code) #3. One of the biggest markets right now so there's alot of room Offers that require CC's and payments etc... Are harder to convert. So stick it out. My advice, even though I sound like I'm beating a dead horse here... Just copy someone, and do it better. Go out to google, look for ringtone affiliate sites that seem to be there for days (don't click on them - be respectful), just type in the url and see what they're doing, because it's obviously working if they're sitting up there. Good luck
Well I don't agree that ringtones are the easiest to start in. Let not forget the one-feild offers that require just a zip code or email address. Ringtones work will if you are a very good marketer but if your a newbie to internet marketing then the competition will push you to the bottom and you wont make decent money. You can make money with any offer and you shouldn't look for the ones that you can "make the most" from because you can make the most from anything as long as you stay dedicated. Find the offers that offer a decent payout and then compare that with the PPC rates and then decide if you can get a conversation rate high enough to make a decent roi.
thats a good tip, haven't had any success yet, but haven't tried very hard for that type of offer either. i'd be interested to hear how you make that descision. Obviously testing is the key here but everyone has a limit to their time and finances. Finding the shortest and most inexpensive path to profit is always a priority. Still looking for hints to those "other" profitable programs besides you know what...
The decision is thru trial and error, looking at the competition previous experience etc.. i am not going to lie you have to have money to make money in the game of PPC and most likely at first you will loose money but you learn from it. the biggest tip is read this forum and various blogs of people that have done it before while you won't find a gold mine you will find some nuggets that can spur you on.
