I went to Clickbank and registered. There was no phone verification, or nothing that stated they will need to contact me to "approve" me. Is this the way it is for everyone? Can just anyone sign up and start promoting products as an affiliate? I just tryed applying for Azoogle and it's like trying to join the olympic team or something. So, am I missing something, or am on the right track?
Clickbank doesn't have a selective process like some other affiliate/publisher networks. all you need is an email account, Tax id or SSN, and a mailing address!
Yes, it's like that for everyone. Clickbank has more direct PPC and article marketers than most affiliate sites. For this reason they don't seem to care as much about approving your website. Also, they represent sellers of all digitally delivered products unlike CJ, Azoogle, and most of the other major affiliates companies. The other major affiliate companies representing those selling hard good and leads seem more concerned with where these leads and sales are generated from.
You've made it! You're now part of the clickbank team. Welcome to the club. Other aff programs can be a bit (or in some cases, a lot more selective, as you've begun to find out). Best of luck
