Hello people. I just started a new blog, and i would be thankful to the heavens if you would tell me if there is something that i would need to change. Have in mind that im doing this with no costs planned and no intentions for profits . Any advice would be helpful, tho the irony that my blog is "advice" themed. http://youradvicefriend.wordpress.com Thanks in advance !
I think it's much better if you register your own domain name and webhosting! You can still use WordPress.
Thanks on advice im still not in this world with my both feet, so ill wait and see how my trafic goes before i change to paid domain and hosting .
Hi. Great blog and great message too. I think it'll look better if you place a menubar for navigation and you can add bouton as home, Who am i?, books, contact (for example)... Once, you've well done, you can move to another step. Good inspiration!
Thank you kind sir ! Since im new, ill have to research on how to do all said things, but i will most definitely do .
Its good if you have a domain and get it ASAP. You just go to this link to register your domain with discount. http://www.discountforsure.in/2014/09/godaddycom-upto-10-extra-discount-on.html
That is the point of most of the advice you got from the guys above - the wordpress.com and the self-hosted WordPress have some significant differences which might stop you from developing this project. I will just mention the most important ones: - with WordPress.com you don't have access to your file/database. So lets say you make this site great. Then you will naturally decide to expand and move to your own domain. Well...you cannot, as there is nothing to transfer, you don't have access to the content and it will remain in wordpress.com forever - the WordPress.com version is lacking much from the general WP functionality. For example you don't have a Plugins section and cannot go ahead and add different functions through plugins. So basically you are limited to a pretty simple site. Now, leaving that aside your website is simple enough and it looks ok. However I don't see how you can expand much on that unless you decide to move to a hosting solution. There are pretty affordable deals out there (although I am warning you to steer away from the super cheap deals or the "big" hosts like HostGator and GoDaddy that their affiliates here desperately try to promote)
