    Hello,

I am new to affiliate marketing and I have a few "starter" questions.

    1. I choosed a product to promote, created a website for it and put everything online. Which is the best way to promote my product? I've read something about SEO, but I dont really know what it means. I saw that many of you are choosing AdWords or AdSense. Are those effective?

    2. I want to know, if I have to pay something to clickbank, so they will activate my account. Im asking because I tried to purchase the product I'm promoting from my website, and it got stuck at payment, something about error processing your payment.

It would be great if someone helped :)

    Thanks,

    Jan.

    1. Find a market, and write a plan then build. Otherwise you are flying in the dark and wasting time. Real marketing always happens FIRST!

    2. Not all programs allow you to purchase through your own links. If you are a business then set up your account as a business so when you buy through your own links they can not connect the dots.

ClickBank has made a lot of changes this year and one of those changes is to cut back on people signing up just so they can by one thing. You need to take a close look at what it takes to get paid now and how they will take back commissions if you don't keep earning. It's all in their help files. Happy Reading.

I agree - have a plan first then create the website.

You've done it wrong really. Some rules for a business include:

    1. Now what product you want to sell.
    2. Now your market/demand/supply and competitors
    3. Now how to get your product out there via marketing and all that.
    4. Make sure you can fund your project well especially due to possible setbacks.

Seems you got your site and product up, but hadn't thought about the advertising/marketing side of things. Normally best to know it all before starting it. Good luck.

I must apologize to you because I didnt say correctly of what I'm doing.

I am promoting a product. I'm not a vendor so I dont have my own product. I'm just promoting someone else's product through my website. By today (website is running for over a month now), I havent made a single sale. I think I did quite a good website, writed some reviews of customers etc.

Can I post a link to my website so you can tell pros and cons... I would appreciate it A lot :).

    Thanks again,

    Jan.

Yeah, i would suggest posting your site, at least in p/m. Have you done any paid promotions?
