i sold one of my blogs on blogspot, but its linked to my google adsense and there is no way of unlinking them i dont think, what do i do?
Humm! Can people really sell a blog hosted on blogspot? It would seam that technically speaking, the blog is controlled by blogspot and not an individual. You may need to ask at blogspot support how one goes about changing the ad codes to a new name. Boulder
Well "i dont think," .. which may even a bigger problem. You can just contact their support team, and ask if they can transfer over a blogspot blog to another email. Tell them a good well planned lie, like "This is my brothers blog, and i wish to transfer it to my brother"
Just change pub ID or delete your adsense ad in the blogspot blog. Then go to your adsense account and unlist and delete it from your account. (I forget what tab you click on, so you will have to look for it)
I didn't think google properties were transferable to other people. The person you sold it to might just lose it
yeah, he's done that...but he still has complete access to my adsense account. if a password/email gets changed on blogspot, it automatically changes the adsense password. damn, im worried right now.
You have to take blogspot off your adsense account. So basically get the new password from the buyer, log into your adsense account, look for the tab that associate the blogspot blog to your account (sorry I forget what tabs) and take the blog off your account. Then tell the buyer its Ok to change his password to whatever he wants.
i took it off the adsense url channels ages ago, but it still linked. when the blogger password is changed, it changes the adsense password, i tried it.
I'm not following this but how does he have access to your AdSense account? Not good... Even if by association there should NOT be access to your AdSense control panel.
No, it is not the adsense url channel. There is a tab in the account where it shows blogger have access to your adsense if you logged into your adsense account from blogger, and you have to uncheck it or deleted it. 1.Login to adsense 2.Click: My account>Account Access You will see "hosts with access" and it should show blogger, so disable it. Then the blogger-adsense connection is gone. I don't know if there is anything for you to do with the old blogspot blog, as I have not use blogspot in over a year, but you should tell your customer to change the email login if possible.
the guy is decent thank god, he let me keep my blogspot and im just going to close the blog on there and copy it all to his blogspot with the same URL, so it gets the same traffic as before. *phew*
i tried that, didnt work. my blogspot still automatically logged me into adsense when i clicked the adsense link from blogger. thanks anyway.
If I remember I believe blogger also save your information, but I haven't used blogger in awhile.. but I'm glad you was able to solve your problem anyway.
thanks, i just feel bad on the guy delaying him like this. i should have put some thought into it first, didn't think it would be this complicated.
