Hey guys, I have sort of a newb question for you about my VPS package I just bought with Dotster. Basically, right now my website is hosted with Site5 on shared hosting and it just cannot handle the traffic we get anymore. I am very experienced with cPanel but this is the first time I've ever used VPS and the setup is a bit overwhelming. So far, I have managed to set up WHM, after setting up WHM I created an account where I would like to host the files for my site. That went through fine, I am able to login to the cPanel and upload my website files and everything. The question I have is that now that I have the account set up and the files uploaded what else do I have to do to get my domain pointing to that account? My domain name is still hosted with Site5, I am assuming that I would just change my DNS servers on Site5 to NS1.NAMERESOLVE.COM and NS2.NAMERESOLVE.COM is that correct? Is there anything else I have to do in cPanel or WHM to get this working? Thanks in advance! I tried contacting customer support at Dotster but they want me to pay $75 for a support ticket which I think is just absolutely ridiculous.
Apart from pointing the DNS to the server by updating them at registrar's end, you will also need to add the domain name in cPanel. The domain won't work unless you have added it in the cPanel.
