... and i'd like everyone's opinions on it.

Opinions so far have been things like; too many different fonts and
the menu doesnt suit the design, but generally those asked liked it.
    What do you think?

Please test the whole site and read everything if you can, please let
me know on broken stuff, test the forms, test the ajax stuff, point
out bad english and comment on good things as well as bad.

So far im aware of the contact page crashing IE6 (maybe it just me?)
and a tiny problem with the menu on safari, but its small enough to
    ignore.

I think thats it, i shall await nervously for your responses.

    Thanks.

I can't review your whole site, but here's a drive by review.

I think the fonts are fine. Distinctive. Give a touch of class.

I'm using Mozilla. The script fonts come through too light though , in particular the testimonial. Same thing with Explorer

The header although good, comes out a bit too dark. Professional Web Development fades into the background too much.

Overall the darkness of the header contrasted with the overly lite text takes away the strength of the page. And that is something you don't want to convey -- your best 'first page' and that's what this has got to be, your showing your stuff -- isn't impactful.

I like the Logo. Not the name. The word Dread, does it mean something different in Scotland? Here in the States it means, someplace you wouldn't want to go. That is not what you want to be saying to your inquiring customer.

I wouldn't explain it either. Too much information, too personal, not that informative. Remember, you are always thinking, folks won't spent too much time on my site. I have to make every sentence worthwhile. And worthwhile means, why should I take the time to talk to you. Telling the story of how you came up with a company name that uses the word "Dread" is not not what I want to read if I'm wondering about hiring you. And why do I want to know about your friend and his website?

This is an English convention. I wouldn't say "made many websites", I would say instead "created". That's one of the key points you want to convey, creativity.

Testimonial: I don't know who would believe the random piece, but its still a good testimonial, especially when you put the name of the contributor.

Oh, -------- like it. A new testimonial shows up each time I go on. great

The contact me part. Is there an overriding reason you want to make this less than straightforward. Are you with the secret service or someting, or hiding out?

When I went for a quote, my web page crashed. That is a rare occurance. Has it anything to do with your coding?

Don't say HIRE ME. Sounds like a plea. Use some other phrase.

First few sentences are good in that section. But by the last sentence you are beginning to insult your reader. drop it

OK. The rest of the page is strong, but not too much I don't think. You know what I want to see next. I want to see some of the websites you've designed. If you don't show them to me here, then you better tell me that you are going to show them to me, or I'm not interested. You can tell me you're good, but this site I am now looking at and the others you show me are 'the proof in the pudding' as they say.

I looked at the IT Security Headlines thinking maybe you wrote them. Would be nice if you had some informative articles you've written. Also a nice way to get your name out.

That's all I have time for. Good luck.

    Jim
