ok people I asked on here ages ago about buying a .WS domain, well the time has come I finally just purchased one I thought I would step out into the .WS domain area!!!! Thing is do people take .WS's seriously? Do .WS's hold ok SEO value? how many .ws's are sold each month? are they going to take off in the future? thanks people I will start building this new site soon
.ws are really devaluated because many were developed into warez sites, so ppl have a bad impression about them
You can get .ws domain ranked well on yahoo and msn but good luck trying to get rankings in google. I don't think I've ever seen a .ws domain ranked well in google which is why I stopped using them. But I did get some top3 rankings on yahoo using the coop and some keyworded .ws domains.
I don't see a reason why Google wouldn't rank .ws domain. It has probably more to do with a fact that most serious projects choose .com or others over .ws.
