Just purchased a dating website template and need some help getting started

    I have my host and everything. I just purchased a template for my site. Can someone help me out as far as what I need to do now?

    Your help would be much appreciated.

    You need to integrate the template into your system. At the very least you need to work out the headers and footers for the content management system you are using. Yes, you can have a site without one but it becomes sooo much hard work.

    Then you need to use an ftp program (like smartftp) to upload the files onto your webhost.

    Now, I may be off track here, so post specific questions and we'll try to answer them :)

    i bought the vdl personals script and im going through bluehost. at this point i have the script on my desktop.

    you have done all the hard work then. the script is a good one. and i think you can modify quite easily.. first, you have to upload the script to your server. and have you gone through their readme? if required to change the sql database and username variables? first change those and then upload your script..

    you should see a file in the script folder called readme it may also be in a folder called DOCS

    i only had one folder that dl'd and there are a bunch of files in it, but there are no files by the name of readme or docs. all i see is one folder. the extensions on them are .tpl. theres also a temp and media folder inside of the main folder.
