Just Plain YPN Weirdness

Okay so our company has a site ActressActor.com that we have converted to a Directory Script. Testing offers on the site to decide if it's worth promoting.

We used to run a 3rd party tracking script to see where the YPN Clicks were coming from and which ads were being clicked. The script slowed the page loading down so we removed it, but the results were usually good and correlated well at least with Adsense.

However, without the script there is no way to tell what is or is not performing. All YPN reports show ZERO clicks by reporting category or reporting URL.

And the money has fallen dramatically even during our short testing period. And yes the economy is partly to blame.

I'm beginning to believe that YPN is simply NOT tracking clicks made from sites. Thus not being paid for the traffic.

And I do notice that many of the Ads shown are localized by IP (Local Ads). The Localized ads are usually NOT on target. Yet there is still a fair mix of Ads that are on target.

This occurs across the sites we have displaying YPN.

Our Adsense tests of course are displaying properly targeted ads.

I can see no point to pump up the Volume on YPN across our network with such erratic reporting.

    Is anyone getting targeted ads?
    Does anyone trust YPN Reporting?

their stats are off alot, i always click show stats from websites and rss and then get a more accurate view even though im not running rss but it shows more clicks then in normal mode..

ive always had stats trouble with ypn but they pay good for me and about equal to adsense but both have declined about 25% in the last 3 weeks.

We are getting paid, but the money is down considerably. And without a reliable tracking method it's totally shooting in the dark. We can't scale a campaign the we can't track. You would think Yahoo would understand the importance of tracking.

Plus Yahoo is a little behind in payment this month. YPN is simply not looking good at the moment.

Will not surprise me to see Microsoft or some other company pick them up in the next year at a firesale price. Unfortunately who knows what this will mean for YPN.
