I just got a PR 5 credit card domain and I was wondering what would be the best steps to take to keep it there. The domain is indexed by google and still has 240 or so backlinks listed for it. I can have a site and content up within an hour of propagation. Any good advice would be appreciated.
Keep list of backlinks listed . I would also keep list of links listed in yahoo. Then make sure to get site up as soon as you get domain name and use same keywords and description of site. try to make it almost same as original website and use same names for inner pages or urls as inner pages of the site.
Just wanted to give an update on this post. I got the domain off godaddy's expired domain service. I paid $11.20 for it. That gives me 23 months of registration. $5 fee + $6.20 reg. fee...(I used a coupon code I got from DP ) The domain was good till Dec. 2008 and the extra $6 got me another year of reg....so basically a .net domain for $5.60 a year. All GOOD NEWS. The BAD NEWS...I'm a big stupid dummy. I know better to check for faked pagerank and got stymied by a pr5 domain for $11. Well it looks like it is fake pr...unless someone can check it out and prove otherwise. So this thread is changed from... "look at the great deal I got" to..."how the heck am I going to make something of this lemon?" I hope to get some good advice from this thread and possibly it can become good advice for someone to recover from, or hopefully, not fall for this basic of all domain buying mistakes. Here's the domain: !!!!DOUGH!!!!...LOL Thanks...
