I've been using LinkMetro for some time now and has proven to be one of the best link exchange programs online. This is owned by Brad Callen, one of the Top SEO guru's today.

It is their, believe me ;)
    1. Log in to your account.
    2. Click on the site name in the left.
    3. Click on "list & place links".
    4. Choose specific link. Click on "Place Your Link on Other Sites".

Currently this feature even does not exist. It is just one of the potential business models for this project.

I know, I removed a linkto the forum because it lowers the signup rate.

This may be why there's not much activity at BannerShift. It seems the webmaster has not updated its website from Dec.2004. So you decide if it works or not.

    I didn't got your point.

At the beginning I though about creating banner exchange, that is why I choose
    the BannerShift name.

BTW. I do not care much about LinkMetro. This service is not a direct competitor for BannerShift project.

Thanks for sharing. But let me warn you, you might get penalized
after some time. Google is pretty good at spotting linking patterns.

In fact, Google goes to the extent of checking the host IP to see
if you are trying to boost your PR by cross linking between your
own sites (if the IP number is same, it means the sites are hosted
on the same server and so they must belong to the same person).

I have static html site and the integration didn't work for me, I get some 500 server error when I edit the .htaccess file.
Is it possible to use the php version for html pages? And how do I do that?

Please try the second method for static HTML files integration. The link is titled "Click here if your web server is Apache and you want to place links on a selected number of static HTML pages" in the "Site Integration" page.

If you will have any problems/questions please contact me online/email.

Any chance on creating a general directory of all sites in the network shtirlitzz? This would really help to make the selection of sites to place your links on easier.

I can describe the system in 2 simple words. It is a combination of arelis (search) and link-vault (static links).
We do not use search results provided by Google. We index our network site by ourselves. And you do not need to send any email requesting links from other members. You place links just clicking on a site page.

Check out this article to get more detailed explanation of the system.

Thanks for the quick update. That new feature is really helpful... now there would just need to be some more people using the system.
