I passed the GAP exam today, it wasn't that bad... there were a lot of questions fairly irrelevant to your ability to manage a campaign, though (hell, one section of the scoring was called "Selling AdWords"). I don't think the exam was too hard though, I nearly aced it.
Congrats mate, I have done it 3 times now and the questions are sometimes harder to work out than the answers. If you are not in the UK, they will ask you about how UK billing works (work that one out). And don't forget about all the little feature you never really use, you need to know about them too. But's it's not that difficult, mostly common sense for anyone that uses adwords. TIP: Have the learning center and a google search page open when doing the exam if you need help ;-)
No it is not. You should charge at very least 10% of Profit till you hit $10,000 and lets say 5% on all profit after. Thats fair. $200 you are short selling yourself. $200 dollars a month - what kind of professional are you? Have you seen a layer charging $200 a month for all your legal trouble? Don't be afraid to charge people for your services, especially when it is performance based. no offense intended
my company approved me to start training for this cert...I'm afraid because I can't pass multiple choice tests to save my life.
I have also just passed the exam (I am in the UK)! I was not very difficult - so long as you spend a few days revising from the Google Adwords learning centre, and then search for answers you are not sure of on the internet while you take the test..
Great ... I congratulate your success....all the best for future career.. but remember you must constantly keep learning new things in PPC to keep yourself up to date....
Congratulations and thanks for the tips from others who made the exam. I did not know that a google professional cert is available.
I was thinking of charging a dollar per keyword...I think that's more fair because ideally you want an individual adgroup for each keyterm...but who has the friggin time to do that... anywayz good luck buddy! Cheers!
